SimJack Control is the official Windows configuration and firmware management software for compatible SimJack pedals and handbrake devices.

It provides real-time input monitoring, calibration, dead-zone adjustment, response curve tuning, configuration profiles, and official automatic pedal firmware updates.

Version 3.2.1 RC2 improves firmware upgrades for supported SimJack pedals running firmware 2.0.3, 2.0.4 or 2.0.6, and improves local upgrade-log handling.

Important Compatibility Notice

SimJack Control supports compatible controllers running official SimJack firmware. Supported legacy SimJack pedal controllers can use the guided automatic update process to migrate to the appropriate official firmware.

Older controllers using FreeJoy firmware or the FreeJoy control solution are not supported. These devices may continue to work as standard USB game controllers, but they require software compatible with their controller.

If you are unsure which controller you have, please contact SimJack support before updating.

What's New in V3.2.1 RC2

• Legacy pedal upgrades: Updated the upgrade process for supported official SimJack pedal firmware 2.0.3, 2.0.4 and 2.0.6.
• USB update handling: Improved legacy bootloader connection and firmware packet acknowledgement handling.
• Local log handling: Retries temporary log-save failures. If local logging fails after firmware writing has started, the verified transfer continues; a log warning alone is not a reason to repeat a completed upgrade.
• Completion checks: Checks the device's update completion and the expected application's return before reporting success.

Already stuck in an old bootloader or FreeJoy Flasher after a failed update? Contact support@sim-jack.com for the separate recovery tool and instructions. This installer is not the standalone legacy recovery tool.

Firmware authenticity, device compatibility, and authorization checks remain in place. Keep USB and power connected throughout the update.

Pedal and Handbrake Configuration

For compatible devices, SimJack Control provides:

• Minimum and maximum calibration
• Upper and lower dead-zone adjustment
• Linear and custom response curves
• Input smoothing and filtering
• Real-time input and output monitoring
• Device settings storage

Pedal configuration also includes output inversion. Compatible handbrakes support linear and button modes.

Configuration Profiles

Create, save, load, import, export, and delete configuration profiles for different games, vehicles, or driving preferences.

Official Pedal Firmware Updates

SimJack Control identifies the connected controller, checks its firmware, and requests the appropriate official update sequence.

Supported pedal updates include Pedal App Firmware 2.2.1 and Bootloader 4.0.0, where applicable. The official service determines which steps are required for each compatible device.

Firmware files are obtained through the official update service and verified before installation. Valid local firmware files can be reused when they match the required update.

Customers normally do not need to download or manually select separate firmware files.

Before You Start

For a smooth update:

• Connect only the SimJack device being updated. Temporarily disconnect other SimJack devices.
• Connect the USB cable directly to your computer. For desktop computers, use a rear motherboard USB port; for laptops, use a built-in USB port.
• Avoid USB hubs, docking stations, extension cables, and desktop front-panel USB ports.
• Switch off servo motors, force-feedback bases, and motion platforms to reduce interference.
• Make sure your internet connection and computer power supply are stable. Connect laptops to external power.

How to Update the Pedal Firmware

1. Open SimJack Control and select Update.
2. Click Check for firmware updates.
3. If an update is available, click Automatic update.
4. Review the preparation instructions and start the update.
5. Keep USB, internet, and power connected, and leave SimJack Control running.
6. Wait for the final completion message, then check your pedal settings and calibration.

The update may contain several steps. The device may disconnect and restart automatically during the process; this is normal.

A single step reaching 100% does not mean the entire update is finished. Wait until SimJack Control displays “The device update is complete.”

Some steps may take a little longer without a visible change in progress. Follow the on-screen messages without repeatedly clicking buttons.

If the software reports a failure, keep the current connection in place, save the local log, and follow the displayed instructions. Contact SimJack support if you are unsure what to do next. Avoid repeatedly unplugging or power-cycling the device.

Supported Languages

English, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, German, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Russian, Japanese, and Korean.

The application selects a supported language based on the Windows display language on first launch. You can change it from Settings.

The installer interface and installation notice are provided in English.

This release is provided as an EXE installer. The portable ZIP download is not updated to V3.2.1 RC2.

Installation and System Requirements

• 64-bit Windows computer
• Available USB port
• Compatible SimJack controller
• Internet connection for online firmware-update services

Close any running version of SimJack Control before installation. Existing V3.1.0 and V3.2.0 users can install V3.2.1 RC2 over their current installation. Backing up important configuration profiles is recommended.

Calibration, configuration, and other normal local functions remain available without an internet connection.

Windows Security Notice

This installer is not currently signed with a Windows Authenticode certificate, so Windows may display an Unknown publisher or other security notice.

Download only from the official SimJack website. You can use the SHA-256 value above to verify file integrity. There is no need to disable your security software.
